MISIRUI 46 Armchair #M2237 The 46 Chair | Finn Juhl | 1947
A year after designing the 46 Armchair for Bovirke in 1946, Finn Juhl created a slightly more minimalist version without armrests, now simply known as the 46 Chair. Like its sibling, the 46 Chair offers excellent comfort to the seated person, features intricate details, and represents the very best of Danish Modern furniture design. The chair is upholstered by hand in Denmark in leather or textile. The frame is available in ash.

MISIRUI 46 Armchair #M2236 THE 46 ARMCHAIR | FINN JUHL | 1946
The lightness of the 46 Armchair is emphasized by the distinct separation between the supporting and supported elements. Originally designed in 1946 for the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition for master cabinetmaker Niels Vodder, the chair was refined by Finn Juhl between 1947 and 1949 into a simpler, more streamlined version for the furniture manufacturer Bovirke. This refined version is the one in our collection today. The 46 Armchair consists of a solid wooden frame in ash, combined with a seat and backrest upholstered in textile or leather.

MISIRUI Fil Noir Armchair #M2103 The line or tube actually forms the main body and material of the chair, outlining its shape while also supporting and enveloping it. The line expresses the core decision made when choosing materials. The metal tubes are coated in matte black. An absolutely minimalist choice.

The exploration of how to harmoniously integrate form and function led to the creation of a backrest with an enveloping shape and a comfortable seat, both featuring a metal structure wrapped in polyurethane foam. The internal cushion uses flexible thermoformed material and a polyurethane foam structure, adding comfort to the backrest.
