Our advantages
The Eames Lounge Chair, designed by world-renowned designer CHARLES EAMES (1907-1978) and his wife RAY (1912-1988) in 1956, is also known in Chinese as the Ims Recliner or Emperor Chair. It later became a permanent collection piece at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), one of America's most important modern art museums. The Eames Lounge Chair is considered one of the most influential works of the 20th century, representing a perfect blend of modern industrial technology and traditional craftsmanship. It showcases the designers' pursuit of both functionality and aesthetics, filling a gap in furniture history.
The Eames Lounge Chair has consistent features aimed at ensuring comfort and relaxation. The chair and ottoman are hand-assembled with attention to detail. The frame is made of seven layers of plywood, while the seat cushion is individually arranged and replaceable. The backrest support and base are crafted from cast aluminum, and the chair base includes an integrated swivel mechanism. Shock-absorbing parts are made of natural rubber, and the chair comes with adjustable stainless steel floor pads.
The upholstery must be aesthetically pleasing, soft, and full-bodied, producing a radiating pleated effect. Most current replicas cannot achieve this natural pleating, which is an important way to distinguish quality. Pleats are natural textures; as long as the inner foam is well-filled and soft, the pleats appear very naturally, giving a slightly puffy feel.
