Durability and Stability

Ash wood itself is hard and highly resistant to cracking and deformation, while the black-painted finish provides protection against moisture, insects and scratches. The rattan parts are made of high-density, tough rattan material; hand-weaving craftsmanship ensures tight, sturdy textures that won't loosen or sag even after long-term sitting and pressure.

Portability and Space-Saving

The overall lightweight structural design makes it extremely easy to move and store. It takes up minimal floor space when placed, fitting seamlessly into spaces of all sizes – whether arranged closely beside a bar counter or stored in a corner of a dining room.

Easy to Clean

The frame is finished with black-painted ash wood, which is waterproof, stain-resistant and smooth to the touch. Daily dust and water stains can be simply wiped away with a damp cloth.

Our advantages

In the 1950s, Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret, alongside Le Corbusier, worked on the urban planning project for Chandigarh, India. During this time, he designed the Chandigarh Chair series for the city's government buildings: crafted from Burmese teak (naturally moisture- and insect-resistant) paired with breathable, comfortable natural rattan, the chair features iconic inverted V-shaped legs that balance functionality and modern aesthetics. Originally intended for local civil servants'offices, it has now become a timeless staple in mid-century modern and minimalist interior styles.
